Summer
Riser is the fairy of summertime. She sings with
the birds, and breathes in nature's beauty. Her morning
radiance shines
to welcome the arrival of each new day.
"Summer Riser is second in the Fairies of the
Four Seasons cycle. I completed a fairy painting named Early Morning Riser in 2002. The fairy was nude, and the painting got mixed reviews at
art fairs. My wife never cared much for it, as she was not nude when she modeled. Since I wanted to put all four fairies into
a single frame, I decided to add her dress to the painting, and renamed the new version."
