"My inspiration for Peaceful was a
simple idea that required a clever solution. I wanted to create a painting with a tranquil setting in the shape of a peace
sign. The challenge was to make it look natural. The tricky parts were the negative shapes in the bottom of the symbol, and the steep angle of the hill. I feel the painting was successful, as the peace sign
is so subtle most people don't see it until I point it out."
