These
rare creatures are extremely territorial, and make their homes in rocky eyries. Their main diet consists of goat, bear, and
an occasional mountain climber. Evil spirits are said to be scared off by the stone effigy of a gargoyle.
"My original sketch for this painting was titled Grunge Dragon. The creature appeared more
like what I would imagine a living gargoyle would look like, so I changed the title. The reference I used to create the gargoyle
was a mandril, warthog, lion, and bat. His claws are a cross between human hands and eagle claws. I really like the cliff
in this painting."
